We won't on a date night while on holiday in Mosselbay. The Hussar Grill was recommended by family. It did not disappoint from the moment we were welcomed at the door. The service was friendly and welcoming and very quick. The quality of the food and preparation was the best we've had in a long time.

On our first evening in Mossel Bay, we ended up at The Hussar, and we had a delicious meal right away! We decided to go back for a second time. And it was lovely, again! The meat is absolutely excellent, and so is the salad! We also enjoyed the delicious wines. And the complimentary chocolate drink at the end is really tasty too. In my opinion, there aren't many good restaurants in Mossel Bay, but you can dine at The Hussar with confidence.

Great meal

We had a fantastic dining experience at The Hussar Grill. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and attentive, and our waiter, Daniel, truly stood out. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and wine list, and his recommendations added so much to our overall experience. The menu offers a great selection, and everything we ordered was executed beautifully. The steaks were cooked to perfection exactly as requested, tender and full of flavour. A special highlight was the black mushroom with spinach and feta, which was absolutely delicious and definitely a must-try. The wine selection is also impressive, with a variety of excellent options to complement the meal. Daniel helped us choose a wine that paired perfectly with our food, which made the experience feel even more curated and enjoyable. Overall, it was a memorable experience with outstanding food, a well-thought-out menu and wine list, and exceptional service. We’ll definitely be back!

The food was to die for ❤️❤️🥰, and Lungi was just amazing, She made our outing so special. I can't wait to visit again❤️😊.

A great addition to the Mossel Bay food scene. We had Rib eye & Rump, which were excellent. Great table service. Very good wine and spirits list. If you like a good steak... Hussar Grill is the place to visit.

The food, service and atmosphere all outstanding. It is pricey, but worth every penny. Be sure to book and let them know what the occasion is. This was my second visit in 2026 and we will definitely be back.

We had an excellent experience last night. From the first greeting, to our waiter, to the Chef checking in on how the food was. Food was exceptional!!! Our steaks were perfect, better than we’ve had in years!!! Everything was done to make us feel welcome and relaxed.

The restaurant uses Dineplan as their booking system which is easy to navigate and manage the booking should anything change. The restaurant is so beautifully orchestrated from the stunning patio to the calming ambience. From the starter through to dessert was outstanding and per request. Then the friendly and accommodating staff could not have been better. Our waiter Bongani and the manager on duty were very attentive. Being from Cape Town, I have been to quite a few restaurants of this franchise and hands down, Mossel Bay is #1. 9th Wedding anniversary very well spent :)

Great addition to Mosselbay, fantastic service, great atmosphere and delicious food. The chocolate martini is definitely a new favourite.
