First time visiting the Grill. Sadly it was probably my last since I do not stay in Cape Town. Would strongly recommend someone looking for great food to go there. Vibe is nice and place looks great. I loved the steak. The prices is actually very good compared to other steakhouses and grills. Only reason for my 4 on service was some mixups with our tables orders but the service was otherwise very friendly and efficient.

Absolutely first class food, service and ambience. Cheldon is a top class manager. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough. It was my most memorable dinner whilst in Cape Town for 2 months. 20 out of 10 rating from me!

The restaurant was very empty for a Sunday afternoon. We had booked ahead and were seated promptly. My wife ordered Pork Belly and specifically asked that there was no sauce over the meat, but rather separate. It came doused in a brown sauce and was returned immediately. I ordered Chateaubriand with Fries, which arrived with the brandy sauce and which was lighted, but without the Bearnais sauce. The steak was also sliced across the top. On cutting it, it was obvious that this was not done Medium Rare as requested but was Medium to Well Done. A passing female waitron asked if everything was all right and I asked her if she considered this steak Medium Rare to which she replied, Definitely Not. There was not a sign of red in the steak nor was there any blood oozing out. It was taken away and returned later almost perfect though again no blood. I think this is due to slicing the top of the steak which allows any blood to run out. The waitron informed us that she had informed the Manager and this black lady dressed in white overalls and apron came and asked if everything was all right. I am not sure if this was the Manager as she did not inform us and was poorly dressed for someone in that rank. My wife's Belly Pork was returned with the brown sauce on the side. She said the meat was very nicely done but the sauce was totally inappropriate and should have been apple sauce with this meat. Only when we received the account were we told that the two lovely desserts that we had was on the house. Nice gesture but we will not be returning to this restaurant again, which joins the list with Steenberg which we used fairly regularly until it also went down badly. Acapulco Spur is also now a No-Go due to both feeling unwell after two meals there, possibly due to my wife being allergic to Palm Oil, though not sure if they use this or whether it is in their sauces as I am not allergic to Palm Oil. Must say their Fillet Steak was one of the best I have ever had.

Best experience ever! Professional Service Friendly staff Food is AMAZING! The manager/chef's attention to my special request really had me speechless. I only asked for a "seat with a view" as it was our anniversary, OH MY GOODNESS, we were so spoiled a glass of bubbly, dom pedro AND vodka martini for hubby and me!!! The super friendly waitress was such a treat, she was super friendly. THANK YOU, for making our special anniversary so special. A memory forever, not only for us but our daughters aswell. 10/10 for you!!

Great steaks and friendly service

Calamari extremely greasy, sauces should be avoided at all costs, tried two and both were nasty. Steaks were great, cooked to perfection and very tasty! Good selection of salads and sides!

We love Hussar @Campsbay and go the min. 2 times when staying at the West Coast/CP Area

Everything was fine instead of our waiter. He was always on the hurry, didn’t hear what we said so that we became not the meal we decided. At time of payment he throwed the creditcard on the table and after that his business card of what he does at daytime. Not for our interest. So sad for our last day in SA.
